Designed by Bracha and Michael Chyutin, the Haifa Court House houses the District Court, the Magistrate’s Court, and several other judicial instances. It contains 75 courtrooms, 100 judges’ chambers, numerous offices, a library and a restaurant
The design was chosen from some sixty proposals submitted to a public competition in 1994. The construction was completed in 2004. Bracha Chyutin studied Architecture at the Technion in Haifa from 1972 to 1977. Michael Chyutin studied Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Technion in Haifa from 1959 to 1975, obtaining a Ph.D. in Architecture. Chyutin Architects, a leading architectural firm in Israel, have won many architectural competitions and designed numerous public buildings in Israel.
