Ram Ben-Shalom is a Professor in the Department of History of the Jewish People and Contemporary Judaism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he also serves as editor of Hispania Judaica Bulletin. His research focuses on medieval Jewish history, with particular emphasis on the Jewish communities of Iberia, Provence, and Languedoc. He has published extensively on Jewish–Christian relations and intellectual discourse in medieval Europe. His work combines cultural, social, and intellectual historical approaches to illuminate the complex dynamics of medieval Jewish life and intercultural exchange.
