Twenty years after the author's untimely death this book gives the English language reader access to his research in Comparative Education. This research is theoretical, which makes it valid to this day and even more important at a time when only conceptual thinking can master the flood of information in a rapidly changing world. Research developing on this base in various fields of education – such as teacher training, curriculum, school-systems – will give the teaching profession and other social groups concerned, models for their activities and thus enable them to become partners in decision-making in national educational policy.
