The Doctrine of Evil and The 'Kelippah' in Lurianic Kabbalism

Synopsis

This title was originally meant to discuss the essence and activity of the demonic forces in Lurianic Kabbalah, but was expanded as a monograph dealing with the main principles of the Lurianic Kabbalah as a whole. The research is based mainly on the writings of Hayyim ben Joseph Vital, a student of Rabbi Luria. The author comes to the conclusion that from the Lurianic Kabbalah arises a bold myth of a covert ancient dualism of divinity, in which dealing with evil forces serves as a central element. This short study is the first in a comprehensive investigation of Lurianic Kabbalism.
