Prof. Mordechai (Motti)
Zalkin is a full professor of modern Jewish history and the chair of the Jewish
History department at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. His special
fields of interest are the cultural, social and economic history of the Jews in
Lithuania, and the history of Jewish education in Eastern Europe.
Among his
