Hanoch Gutfreund

Hanoch Gutfreund is Professor Emeritus in theoretical physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research interests include theoretical Solid State Physics, Computational Neuroscience and, in recent years, mainly the History and Philosophy of Science. At the University he served in academic-administrative positions: chairman of the institute of physics, chairman of the institute for advanced studies, rector and president. In recent years he has served as the academic chair of the Albert Einstein Archives and coordinates activities promoting Einstein’s legacy worldwide and in Israel.
