Shaul Marmari

Shaul Marmari is a PhD candidate at the Simon Dubnow Institute for Jewish History and Culture in Leipzig and a fellow of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Foundation. He earned his BA in History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2016 and his MA in Global History from the Free University of Berlin in 2018, where his thesis won the Fritz Steppat Prize for 2020. Since October 2018 he is working on his doctoral project, which, under the supervision of Prof. Dan Diner, seeks to offer a British-imperial perspective on the history of Arabian Jews in British India.
