Viviane Chetrit-Vatine

Faculty, Training Analyst, Israel Institute of Psychoanalysis; past President, Israeli Psychoanalytic Society; Faculty, Tel Aviv University; Member, International Reading Committee, Revue française de psychanalyse; Member, International Scientific Committee, Monographies de psychanalyse. Dr. Chetrit-Vatine has published several articles in Israeli journals, Sihot and Maarag, in French journals, Revue française de psychanalyse and Le Coq-héron, and in the International Journal of Psychoanalysis. She is also the author of the book, The Ethical Seduction of the Analytic Situation: The Feminine-Maternal Origins of Responsibility for the Other (2014, Karnac). She has been teaching Laplanche's theory and thinking for years, and has collaborated for several French books, one dealing with Laplanche's thinking, and others dealing with inter-disciplinary exchanges, in particular around the questions of Ethics, Symbolization, Transmission, Faith and Religion, and Freud's Jewish identity. Dr. Chetrit-Vatine is in private practice in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
