Yael Kaduri is a musicologist and a
theoretician of music and art. She received her PhD from The Hebrew University
of Jerusalem, and studied at the Art Department of Bezalel, Academy of Arts
and Design, Jerusalem.
Her domains of interest include the philosophical, analytical and historical
aspects of the interrelationships among music, the visual arts and the
performing arts. Yael investigates and criticizes the different manifestations
of these interrelationships in contemporary art in Israel and abroad. She teaches in
Bezalel, Academy
of Arts and design, in
the History and Theory Department and in the Master
program in Policy & Theory of the Arts,as well as in the Cinema and TV Arts Department of Sapir College. A
book she is editing – The Oxford
Handbook of Music, Sound and Image in the Fine Arts– will be
published soon.
