Prof. Efrat Aviv holds the position of a senior lecturer within Bar Ilan University's Department of General History in Israel. Her postdoctoral research was conducted at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA), where she presently occupies the role of a senior research fellow. While her primary expertise resides in the domain of Turkish religious movements, her academic pursuits also encompass areas like Israeli-Turkish relations, the presence of Antisemitism in Turkey, and the history of Ottoman-Turkish Jewry. One of her remarkable accomplishments includes her widely-discussed inaugural book, titled "Antisemitism and Anti-Zionism in Turkey: From Ottoman Rule to the AKP" (published by Routledge in New York and Oxford in 2017).
