Hagi Kenaan is a professor of philosophy at Tel Aviv University and the editor-in-chief of "Iyyun: The Jerusalem Journal of Philosophy". He specializes in continental philosophy, phenomenology and post-phenomenology and the philosophy of art. He has authored "The Present Personal: Philosophy and the Hidden Face of Language" (Columbia U.P, 2005), "The Ethics of Visuality: Levinas and the Contemporary Gaze" (Bloomsbury, 2013), "Photography and Its Shadow" (Stanford U.P, 2020), and co-authored with Y. Senderowicz, "Time: Nine Philosophical Dialogues" (Resling Publishing, 2022).
