Yigal Bronner has been traveling in India and studying its intellectual culture for over 30 years. He is a Sanskritist trained at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Chicago, where he obtained his PhD in 1999, and where he taught for six years before joining the Hebrew University as an Associate Professor. He is the author, co-author, and editor of several books and has published many articles on Sanskrit literature and literary history, Sanskrit poetics, and Indian intellectual history broadly defined.
