Dr Yehoshua Granat, a lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is a specialist of pre-modern Hebrew verse and particularly of Piyyut (Hebrew and Aramaic liturgical poetry. He is the author of Psalms Recalled: Scriptural Psalms in the Liturgical Poetry of Yoseph Ibn Abitur (YBZ Press: Jerusalem 2021) and of Before In the Beginning: Pre-existence in Early Piyyut (YBZ Press: forthcoming), as well as of various research articles in Hebrew, English and Spanish.
