Michal Ephratt is a professor in the Department of Hebrew Language at the University of Haifa, Israel. Her research interests include the study of silence as means of communication; language in real-life: verbal iconicity, linguistic models in non-linguistic disciplines (particularly psychoanalysis and trade-marks); neologisms and transparency.
