Michal Mor has been serving as the curator of the Hebrew University since 2010. In her work, she focuses on the connection between the academic world and the presence in the field of art within the institution and beyond (a topic she will elaborate on in her lecture). Between 1991 and 2010, she worked at the Israel Museum in a variety of roles: as associate curator for museum education, she engaged in the development and research of educational programs in the fields of art, archeology, and ethnography for teachers and students. Additionally, she was involved in developing art education programs for early childhood in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. In 2020, she curated the exhibition "Sitting Low, Seeing Far" in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Design at Bezalel. In 2008-2009, she served as associate curator in the exhibition "Windows - in Israeli and International Art" and in the exhibition "Secrets and Connections," which dealt with the connection between the museum's permanent collections. In 1987-1991, she worked at the Haifa Museum as associate curator for museum education and associate curator in the exhibition "Haifa - Portrait of the City in Painting and Photography." In her master's thesis, she researched the role of the curator at the Hebrew University, and in her doctoral dissertation, she examined the decision-making processes of the university's administration since its establishment and their reflection in the issue of visual culture and the institution's visual presence to this day. She studied the actions of the individuals who initiated and promoted decisions related to visual presence and the changes in institutional perceptions that have occurred over the years, while expanding to the fields of art, archeology, natural sciences, and exact sciences.
