Michal
Sapir is a writer, translator and musician. She has a PhD in Comparative
Literature from NYU. In 2011 she published a biography of her grandfather, the
legendary Israeli finance minister Pinchas Sapir. Her debut novel The Modern
Dance was published by Kineret, Zmora-Bitan in 2018. Among her recent
translations: Georges Didi-Huberman’s Survivance des lucioles, Zygmunt
Bauman’s Culture in a Liquid Modern World, Yigal Schwartz’s The
Zionist Paradox: Hebrew Literature and Israeli Identity. She is currently
translating David Foster Wallace’s novel Infinite Jest into Hebrew.
Michal is the songwriter, singer and guitarist in the band Afor Gashum
