Dr. Ruth Bartal was a senior lecturer in the Department of Art History at Tel Aviv University. Her field of expertise is medieval art. Ruth Bartal authored numerous articles on the sculpture of the twelfth century in France and Spain, and the various aspects of the iconography of the Old Testament in Jewish and Christian art. Her research has been published in journals in the United States, Spain, France, Italy and Israel.
