Prof. Rachel Albeck-Gidron is an interdisciplinary researcher of Hebrew literature, comparative literature, philosophy, and culture studies at Bar-Ilan University. Among her previous books are The Century of the Monads: Leibniz’s Metaphysics and Twentieth-Century Modernity (Bar-Ilan University, 2007); Exploring the Third Option: A Critical Study of Yoel Hoffmann's Works (Ben-Gurion University Press, 2016; awarded S. Yizhar Prize, 2017). She was visiting associate professor at Stanford University 2006-2007, visiting scholar at Doshisha University , Kyoto and at Potsdam University, Germany (2018), and research fellow at Osaka University (2012), Japan.
