Yes, the Magnes website is protected by advanced SSL technology.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Preparing orders for shipping usually takes 1-4 business days
(delays may occur during Jewish holidays and the Hebrew Book Month).
Magnes Press has no control over the time it takes for the
postal service to deliver packages to customers. An accurate shipping address,
including zip code and phone number, can improve the chances of a fast
delivery.
We make every effort to dispatch orders as soon as possible.
Can I have my order sent outside Israel?
Yes, we ship abroad. When you place your order and fill in an address
outside Israel, the prices will be changed to US dollars and shipping options and
prices will appear according to weight and destination.
Can I receive my books at the press bookshop instead of paying
for delivery?
Yes, our offices are located in Jerusalem, on the Givat Ram Campus
of the Hebrew University, in the Sherman Building. Self-pick-up is free of
charge.
Parcels can be picked up on Sun-Thurs, between 8:30 am and 3:30
pm.
How do I check the status of my order?
After completing your purchase you will receive a confirmation
email.
For self-pick-up, you will receive another email with a notice
that the order is ready.
For deliveries, you will receive another email with a tracking
number.
What do I do if I receive a damaged book?
We make every effort to provide our books intact. However, on
rare occasions a damaged book can go unnoticed.
If you receive a book with any kind of flaw please send as an
email with your name, contact details, description of the flaw and the date of
purchase.
Please also attach an invoice and a picture of the damaged book.
Can I get a refund for an online purchase?
Yes, for a printed book purchased on the website. An order can
be cancelled under the following conditions:
The customer must return the book(s) to the press within 14 days
after placing the order. The book(s) must be intact and unused.
A copy of the invoice must be enclosed with the book(s).
The credit card with which the order was initially placed will
be reimbursed.
Shipping fees will not be reimbursed.
Can I get a refund for an e-book?
Under no circumstances do we refund for e-books. The reason for
this is that e-books are available for use immediately upon purchase.
What do I do if a book I am interested in is out of stock?
Some books are temporarily out of stock until they are
reprinted. However, others may not be reprinted for the time being.
We understand the significance of these books and make efforts
to make them available, if not in print then as e-books.
We will be happy to hear from you regarding books which are out
of stock (please click NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABE). Please specify your need for
the book (scholarly, course reading list, general interest, etc.) and if you
know of others interested in it. We will take this information into consideration
if an opportunity for reprinting the books arises.
