Policy Practice in Social Work by Idit Weiss-Gal and John Gal is the first Hebrew language book on this subject. The book, written by two international experts on the subject, offers an overview of the involvement of social workers in the social policy process. Based on a decade of research by the authors on policy practice in Israel and in a cross-national perspective, it includes a wide ranging discussion of the concept and presents an up-to-date review of the research on this subject. In addition, the book covers the findings of a study of the policy involvement of Israeli social workers in the policy process and draws upon the social policy and public policy literature in order to suggest strategies for policy practice by social workers.
